Coaches Biography
Coach Garbuglio ’12 is in her fourth year as Co-Head Girls Lacrosse Coach at Bishop Hartley High School, bringing more than 11 years of coaching experience and a deep passion for the sport to the Hawks’ program. Her strategic insight, commitment to player development, and ability to build a positive team culture have helped elevate the program year after year.
In addition to leading the girl's lacrosse team, Coach Garbuglio contributes to the school’s athletic community as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach during the fall season. Her dedication across multiple sports reflects her belief in well-rounded athletics and the value of cultivating student-athletes who are resilient, disciplined, and team-oriented.
A proud Bishop Hartley alumna, she is devoted to giving back to the community that helped shape her. Coach Garbuglio strives to foster excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth in every athlete she coaches, ensuring that lessons learned on the field translate into strong character and lifelong success beyond it.
Coach Kanowsky ’18 is in her third year as the Co-Head Girls Lacrosse Coach at Bishop Hartley High School, bringing six years of coaching experience to the program. In addition to her leadership of the girls lacrosse team, she also serves as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach during the fall season.
Prior to her current position at Bishop Hartley, Coach Kanowsky spent three years coaching at the club level, where she developed her coaching philosophy and strengthened her commitment to athlete development and teamwork.
A graduate of Capital University, Coach Kanowsky distinguished herself as a student-athlete, breaking two individual single-season records in Woman-Up Goals and Woman-Down Goals, and the career goals record as well. She was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in both 2022 and 2023 and earned recognition on the All-American Preseason Watch List.
A proud alumna of Bishop Hartley High School, Coach Kanowsky is dedicated to fostering excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth within her student-athletes both on and off the field.
